Disney World
In October 2006 we got to take Chelsie, Whitney and Dylan to Disney World. It was a bit scary because she had just had a treatment and was at her lowest blood count. The Dr.s were not happy with us. We had to call and have a Florida Dr lined up to check her blood the day after we got there. Anyway I am so glad we just did it anyway. We talked her into wearing a mask and gloves on the plane. She was really not liking that but she did it. It was a bit bad because we had gotten our tickets to disney world ahead of time and had to go 4 days so we had no time to stay home. So the 1st day at disney world we had Chelsie wear her gloves and mask and use a wheel chair. She got so she didn't mind. Sometimes, well lots of times people would star at us. Chelsie started to really get a kick out of doing this little wave by putting her hand up to her face and wiggling her fingers, she would kindof tilt her head to the side, at people like that. Then she would laugh. It made people quite uneasy to see that. We had the best, funnest, wonderful week. What a sweet gift to have that time together. It was also so great to find her wig that she felt really good in. By the end of the week she started having to wear it. And she look so cute and good with her new, thick, long hair. After the 2nd day of her wheel chair her blood count came back up and she got to just be Chelsie at Disneyworld.

Night's
I really shouldn't be allowed on here. Chelsie after she started treatments she was scared at night. She slept in our bed a lot. One of us would leave. Usually the last one in bed. Usually Neil. We got so we didn't know what bed we would end up in with Dylan and Chelsie. She and I slept together a lot. Some nights she would just want to be close to me and hold my hand. I am not all that cuddley. I felt kindof weird but I loved the idea that she wanted me to comfort her. I remember a few nights she just wanted to hold my hand. She wouldn't cry or anything she just wanted to be by me. She wanted me to tell her a story of my when I was young. Who was my 1st boy friend and my 1st kiss and about Neil and I when we 1st were dating. It was a nice time. I am glad I didn't resist. Even if at 1st I felt like I wanted to. She would get a little bugged by me as we worked our way thorough the treatments. But, always when she felt sick and she truly needed me we would both just forget all about that and she would want me to help with this and I would just drop everything and run around helping her. All of the grupy stuff is all forgotten. I know she loves me and she knows I love her and would to anything for her. Mom
underwear war
I remember when Chelsie started in high school. Maybe Jr year. We went out to buy underwear. She wanted about 3 different kinds to try. We bought one like I wear and about 5 others of different kinds. Well, after a few weeks she decided she liked the ones like I wear. So she kept steeling them. Every time I had a bath I would get out of the bath to get dressed and no bras to wear. I got kindof posessive and put all of them in a special hiding places so I could have one after a shower. Well, when she went to college. I felt very generous I bought all new bras and gave her all my old ones. She was so sweet she never said a word just wore them. As she moved out I snuck in a few new ones. Now, I wish I hadn't been so selfish. You know Chelsie you can have any old bra you want. Mom
Kitchen Cleaner
hey, I remember trying to teach Chelsie to be resopnesable. She could do such a good job and other times, hum. One night Neil and I had been out for the evening. Chelsie was suppose to clean the kitchen. I came home and was so happy the kitchen was clean. I looked in the fridge for some reason and I couldn't believe my eyes. There was the taco meat, we had for dinner, sitting on the self of the fridge. No bowl, no container just sitting in a pile on the shelf. Ok, well, very interesting way to put the food away. I took a picture and put in her scapebook. She ended up liking to clean bathrooms for some reason. Every weekend she would call to be the bathroom cleaner. She could really do a good job if she wanted to. I wonder if she has to clean bathrooms in heaven? Mom
