Scrapbooking!
I have taken on this fun project for my kids for Christmas. I am making them some scrapbooks. Ahh! I have had so much fun looking at all my memories of Chelsie. She is in so many photos. Kissing or Hugging one of us. I love it! I remember how much she loved making her scrapbooks. I love the little things we still have to hold on to her. Pictures, Her C.D.s to hear her voice, her journals, and our memories. The Lord gives us blessings in all trials.

My sister's hands
My sister's hands are fair and white; my sister's hands are dark
My sister's hands are touched with age, or by the years unmarked
And often when I pray for strength to live as He commands
The Father sends me sustenance in my sister's hands
My sister's hands are lined and worn with burdens of their own
And yet I know that should I mourn, I need not weep alone
For often as I seek His grace to lighten life's demands
The Father sends me solace borne in my sister's hands
My sister's hands: compassion's tools that teach my own their art
Witnesses of charity within the human heart
Bearers of the Savior's love and mercy unto man
I have felt the Master's touch in my sister's hands
I heard this song and couldn't stop bawling. I am so thankful for all
that Chelsie gave us. I miss her so much! Our Sister Forever.

Chelsie's Bug
The other day I saw a red bug. I just started crying. I loved her in that car! I will always remember how excited she was when dad bought her the new Lexxus. She had so much fun car shopping. She was so excited to look forward to the day when she would drive her new lexxus. But I will always remember her in the bug...Chelsies Bug!
Christmas
It was a hard Christmas with out Chelsie this year. I miss seeing her so much! She was always so excited to have everyone come home for Christmas. She would call me and call me until we came over that day. Then if you ever had to leave she would beg you to stay. I miss her so much! I loved listening to her sing "Where are you Christmas." At school Kambria was doing a spotlight and she was asked who her favorite singer was, she said "Chelsie Brown". I am so thankful we have her music still. She left us with such wonderful memories.

Last Moments
On the 26th of April. I went over to visit Chelsie at the hospital. Mom went home to take a nap and shower. I had a lot of packing to do but I didn't care, I just wanted to be with her. (I know it was a blessing that the Lord gave me.) I spent 5 hours at the hospital while Taneil watched my kids. It will be something I will never forget. She was so sirine that day. Her breathing was getting bad so we didn't talk a lot I mostly spent the day getting her water and changing her bucket so she could spit out her saliva. She couldn't even swallow it. We talked about the overdose. How she was so blessed to be here. She was so thankful and humble. She said, "Mom and Dad saved my life. The Lord wants me here for a reason, he has a plan for me.(with tears in her eyes)" You know how fiesty Chel can be I really expected her to be mad at the nurse. She wasn't, she said, " I just wonder what happened." You know how we are told to listen to that still small voice. And sometimes we never know what would have happened if we would have rejected the prompting. Well we have a beautiful experiance of that. If mom would not have heeded that prompting. We would not have heard Chelsie's sweet words of forgiveness about the nurse. We would not have been able to hold her longer. I don't know about you all but I found peace that month. I felt the spirit so strongly. I felt it from the top of my head to my toes. It was so hard to say goodbye. I am so glad I had that extra month to do it. Thank you Mom. You gave us all so much, thank you for listening to the Spirit. The last moment before she had the tube in her throat and before they sadated her she was holding moms hand and mom was telling her encouraging words. She was trying so hard to be brave. She was always so brave and confident. I will always remember that. I will miss you so much Chel!
Cinnamon Rolls
I think the best part of living close is being there for each other. It was so much fun this year to hang out with Chelsie so much. Everytime she would come to my house to stay she wanted me to make some homeade cinnamon rolls. She loved them. I think we had more fun making them then eating them. I will cherish those sweet moments that I got to have her in my home. We would stay up late and talk about her future. She used to want to be a photographer or a music major. Then this year she was so excited about being a nurse. She would get so excited for things just to look forward to. I love that too. Just a chance to get excited. She was really looking forward to traveling to Europe. To have a reunion in July. I am sure we all heard things about her hopes and dreams. I love that about Chel she was always excited about life even in the most dreary times. She would find something to look forward to. It reminds me of Pollyanna (when she would be excited for Chicken on Thursdays) It was fun to be around that. It made everything seem so fun. She really appriciated the little things this year. I hope I can do that more. To get excited about food, about holidays, about showers, about movies, about Lost. Etc. It sure makes life more fun.
Who Cut the Cheese?
One time we were all riding in the Motor Home. We were in the back on mom and dads bed and we were playing Uno. Chelsie's idea. It was me, Whitney and Chelsie. Well someone kept tooting. It was so gross. It kept happening. All of us were blaming each other. Making jokes to Whitney about how she needed to go to the restroom to change her undies. It was hillarious! We were all laughing our heads off. Then when we finally got to a reststop Chelsie ran in to go to the bathroom. She appoligized to us and then just laughed. Man she had some stinky toots! Shay
